40-hour Basic Mediation Training Course Offered by DMC Continuing Education

Do you like resolving issues or spending your time helping others diffuse disagreements?

Interested in volunteering your time doing so?

Del Mar College is partnering with Dispute Resolution Services (DRS), located at the Nueces County Courthouse, to train more individuals with the necessary skills for conflict resolution with DRS looking for volunteers.

Del Mar College’s Continuing Education Department is offering their 40-hour course, 2017D LGLA 1005 Basic Mediation Training, over two weekends with the course running Friday through Saturday, August 11-13 and August 18-20, at the College’s Center for Economic Development.

The course is designed for anyone interested in mediation training and learning more about conflict resolution.

Training will be provided by an experienced mediator who also volunteers her expertise for Dispute Resolution Services, which serves the community by offering free mediation services to those living in Nueces County who find themselves in a conflict.

Cost for the course is $300.

For more information and to register, call the Center for Economic Development at 361-698-1328 or visit the facility to register in-person.
