[11:00am-1:00pm] National Crime Victims’ Rights Week Community Resource Fair

In honor of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, scheduled April 2-8, this year’s theme — Strength. Resilience. Justice. — reflects a vision for the future in which all victims are strengthened by the response they receive.

As part of the Title IX Awareness Campaign, the Del Mar College Office of Student Engagement and Retention is hosting a Community Resource Fair to bring attention to crime victims’ rights and provide services information and resources available to crime victims and their families.

The resource fair features over 20 community agencies that provide services to victims of all crimes.

Free popcorn, drinks, swag bags, t-shirts and much more will be provided during the fair.

WEST:Thursday, April 6, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Coleman Center, Del Mar College West Campus, Old Brownsville and Airport Roads, free.

[2:00pm-6:00pm] Free Tax Services Provided by DMC Accounting Students

It’s tax time, again!

Trying to make sense of the different filing forms can be a struggle.

And, paying for an accountant to prepare returns may not be part of your budget.

Del Mar College students trained in tax and accounting software will provide free services (first come, first served) for area filers who make less than $50,000 per year.

This free service is offered through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program.

This services is available every Tuesday and Thursday through April 13 (except during Spring Break, March 13 to 18), from 2 to 6 p.m.
