[7:30pm-8:30pm] CC Chamber Music Society Presents Aeolus String Quartet with James Dunham
Description:

The Corpus Christi Chamber Music Society and Del Mar College’s Music Department present the Aeolus String Quartet.

Praised by Strad Magazine for their “high octane” performances, the Aeolus String Quartet won top prizes in the 2009 Coleman International Chamber Ensemble Competition, the 2011 Plowman Chamber Music Competition, the 2011 Chamber Music Yellow Springs Competition and the 2011 Fischoff International Chamber Music Competition.

Additionally, the Dallas Morning News praised the Quartet for their “sophisticated and committed” music-making and adding that they are sure to wow Corpus Christi audiences with their program of music featuring works by Haydn, Makan, Copland and Dvorak.

Internationally renowned violist James Dunham will join the group for a performance of Dvorak’s Viola Quintet, which is named for the Greek god Aeolus who governed the four winds.

This idea of a single spirit uniting four individual forces serves as an inspiration to the members of the Aeolus Quartet. Tickets are $25 at the door.

Free to students with a valid DMC ID.
